Page Design for Search Engine Positioning

 

To show up in the search engines, the very basics are:
You must have your keywords (What you want to show up under in the search engines) in and near the beginning of your:
1. Title tag
2. Description meta tag
3. Keywords meta tag
4. Top of page text
5. Heading text
6. Link text
7. FIle names of pages and images.  For example,   page1.html  is useless, while a file name like e.g. optical-instruments.html  (using your keywords of course) may help a little
8. Alt image tags  (keep it short in the Alt tags)
